Windows e-mail

I am trying to set up Windows email. Previously I used Outlook Express. All the settings (server names, etc) are the same in the new account as they were in Outlook Express. I enter my username and password over and over and cannot receive new messages. I get the following error message: Account: 'popserver.elp.rr.com', Server: 'popserver.elp.rr.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: 'ERR Authentication failed', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92.

First, if you have an antivirus program, disable its email scanning function. Reboot. Delete your email accounts, then recreate them. Did that fix the problem?Gary VanderMolen "cambuggg"
