"Greg" Yes it is. No idea, as I've never tried and have no intention of trying to install it either...!However, although not free, this is superb for both 32bit and 64bit Vista: acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/

Not the one from XP, but there is an available version for vista downloadable from Microsoft. Unfortunately it only performs the restore part, not the backup."Mark Rae"

XP version works fine, just can't copy locked files. Take a look here: groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windows.vista.general/browse_frm/thread/54d8b713370d43a4/ad62a0c1038eea55?lnk=st&q=%22NT+Backup+on+XP+CD%22&rnum=1#ad62a0c1038eea55 (or shortly: tinyurl.com/2r9kcz ) M. Interesting. I tried several things along those lines, but nothing but failure. Of course I am using Vista 64"Michal Kawecki"
