when away from pc - interenet connection stops

Hello,When i am away from my pc for a little while and the screen is dark (i have screen saver disabled but this still happens) i find that the applications that are connected to the internet have lost their internet connection.(And those applications can not always successfully get reconnected,when the mouse is moved)Is there anyway to stop losing the internet connection when i am away from the pc? thanks

Check the properties of the connection: connection might be automatically disconnected after a certain idle time (20 minutes is standard). Change that to "never". (Find it under Internet Options connections properties.) The screen gets dark also after a certain time unless you change that under energy settings, has nothing to do with the screensaver.
