transferring the equivalent of "My Documents' to open on ano

Posted by admin on Jul 6th, 2006

Hello,I have multiple drives in my PC. My 'C' drive (a speedy 10k 36gig scsi drive) has Vista and applications installed. I have two Seagate 400gig SATA2 drives serve has daya drives.I would like to transfer my settings of 'My Documents' or 'Documents' to the 'D' drives rather than the default 'C' drive. I note that Vista is a bit different in that it has a 'Documents' folder that does not include folders for music, video and pictures. These folders are seperate and each defaults to the 'C' drive. Is there a one stop means of setting a directory that contains these folders and transfer it to another drive (in my case 'D' drive)? Thank you, Shane

The "special" subfolders of C:\Users\(Your Name) can all be relocated by rightclicking on each folder, choosing Properties, and then clicking on the Location tab."No Spam"
