Set Associations

Posted by admin on Aug 30th, 2006

My operating system is Vista, I am using Windows Mail and am attempting to open a Power Point file. I have been unable to do so because I have to Create an association in the Set Associations control panel. Where do I find the Set Associations control panel?

Do you have PowerPoint on the Vista computer? If not, you won't be able to set an association to it. But the easy way to get to the list is to rightclick the icon and choose Open. Choose the second option "Select a program from a list of installed programs", then click PowerPoint (if it's installed on that computer) and click OK. "Ed"
