Question about windows update history.

Hi,Its not that important, but still curious about an imp windows update that is failed on vistahome premium machine.MSXML 4.0 SP2 security update (KB927989)Although the update is downloaded and is installed manually, just checking if Windows update history can be cleared which is still indicating that the update is 'failed'.
