problem creating recovery disc

Posted by admin on Jun 20th, 2006

I have tried a few occasions to create the recovery disc as instructed in manual and to no avail I am getting error message that it is unable to write to the disc. Has anyone else had this problem. I have also gotten a message constantly popping up about low disk space on "D" drive. I just purchase this computer a couple weeks ago and not sure if it is a Vista issue or the computer itself any help or info appreciated. thanks

I am having a similar problem. I was able to create my recovery disk with no problem, but every time I sign on to the computer it tells me I have "Low Disk Space on recovery disk (D:)" So I say OK let's clean it up and it takes me to the recycle bin, which is already empty! Hello?????????? I sure hope someone jumps in here soon with some advice. Here's sending some Florida Sunshine your way."Abby" wrote:

I was able to make recovery disks using CD's. I did speak to a couple people about the "Low disk space" issue they say that isn't an issue just an annoyance. Where as we don't use (D). Until they come up with a solution will just deal with it."Abby" wrote:

Not sure I had exactly the same problem but it was similar. When I tried to create my recovery disks (brand new preinstalled laptop) I got a disk write error at the end writing to both disks. As I had a flew DVD+R blanks and wanted the recovery disks for safety, I just blundered on, so when it said it had an error writing the desk, I threw it away and put in another one. I wasted 4 DVD+Rs to get my 2 recovery disks, which is verified successfully. (2 from 6 in total). hedgert
