Print spooler service not running

Posted by admin on Oct 11th, 2006

I have windows vista installed on my laptop and XP on my desk top. These computers are networked. I can see the printer in the Network folder. the problem i'm having is when ever i try to print from my laptop i get the message that the print spooler service is turned off. When i check in services it shows that it is running. Does anybody know how i can fix this problem. Thanks

I am also having a spooler problem. I receive an erro saying my spooler is not running. This started after I installed a Lexmark printer and the vista driver from their site. When it still didn;t work, I uninstalled it. After I rebooted my system I had the problem, and now my systems shows I have no pinters installed, even though there are two that worked previously. I found a lexmark files that the uninstall program left behine :lexbces" by going to serach and entering service.msc. Now when I try the search under service.msc I get no files found. The corruption has gotten worse. I would sure appreciate some help. Thank you Steve"Cari (MSMVP)" wrote:
