You might have to check with your ISP on that one. Their mail server is sending back a message that the username and password are incorrect. Tell your ISP, specifically, that you're setting up the account in Vista's Windows Mail and getting that message.Make sure you're using the username and password for your email account, which may be different from those for your Internet access.(And please don't type any more subject lines in uppercase, because IT LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE SHOUTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!) If you still have outlook express, go to tools>accounts and export your settings. Then simply import them into Windows Mail. (The import wizard only imports your email messages, not your accounts.) Chances are, your antivirus program has corrupted your email password store. Turn off the email scanning feature of your antivirus program. Delete the email account, then recreate it.Gary VanderMolen "KAREN HEAL"

See if you can telnet to the server and verify that the user name and password are correct.See pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/pop3telnet.htmsteve"KAREN HEAL"
