Installing MP Toolbox with MS Vista
Posted by admin on Mar 2nd, 2007
I have a Dell PC that came preloaded with Vista. My Canon MP700 printer connected well to the PC (I can print). However I've tried to install MP Toolbox Ver. 4.1.1.0mp01 (Windows Vista) from the Canon web site. When I run MP Toolbox and click on "Settings" I have the following error message "A supported scanner is not installed. Please install a supported scanner, and then restart Toolbox". I've tried to install MP700 MultiPASS Suite Ver. 5.05 (Windows Vista) 200701 and that did not help (the installation cannot complete because the driver cannot find a printer connected). Can someone help?

You should have installed the driver package BEFORE connecting the MP700 to the PC. Uninstall and the printer and start again, connecting the printer ONLY when the software tells you to do so. Cari (MSMVP) Windows Technologies Printing & Imaging coribright.com/windows"Georges"
