Installing Adobe Reader 8 on Vista
Posted by admin on Jun 25th, 2007
I am unable to download and run Abobe Reader 8. I get the following error message: "The Temp folder is on a drive that is full or is inaccessible. Free up space on the drive or verify that you have write permission on the Temp Folder." I have confirmed that I have full administrator privileges, I have disabled the firewall, and I have tried to find and delete the temp folders without success. The Vista community emails indicate that I am not alone. One of the recommended fixes is to reenable UAC. What is that? Do you have any other recommendations?Dennis Z

Hi,You don't need to disable UAC, you simply need to right click the setup file and use "run as administrator". Best of Luck,Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" Microsoft MVP mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help www.rickrogers.org"Dennis Z" <Dennis Z@discussions.microsoft.com>
