Not just XP. I mean, if it worked with 98, you won't set it to XP, obviously. Now, be sure to download any patch released for the game and run it as administrator. I got Grim Fandango (1998) to work on Vista like that. Just try.

Cameron, you definitely have my attention! Could you be a little more specific as to where I might find this particular FILE tab that I need to right click? I tried FILE in Poga and on my IE homepage but didn't see a compatibility tab. Thank you...Sandy"Cameron" wrote:

It's the EXE file for the game, this does not apply to internet based games unless they store the game data on your hard drive, then you'd have to hunt down the programs exe and try it. Nick; First of all, those instructions by no means "fix everything". They will fix some, but they will not and are not intended to fix everything. If running the program is the issue, right click the icon use to start the program. Click the Compatibility tab. Place a check by "Run this program in compatibility mode for" Select "Windows XP (Service Pack2)" from the drop down list. Click OK. Try to start the program again. If you still have problems, try different options. If all else fails, contact the program manufacturer for Windows Vista Compatibility. Note that this is referring to the icon in the programs list. If you are using the icon in the Games Explorer the process is a little different. In the Games Explorer you right click on the icon, select "customize", then make sure the "Play (Play)" menu item is selected and click the edit button. That takes you to the same place as rightclicking on the program icon and selecting "Properties". You will then see the compatibility tab.Note: another thing to try is clicking the "run as administrator," that fixes a few games as well.Mark "Jupiter Jones [MVP]"
