"DevilsPGD" Well, they don't seem to work here. I found this page, but the reg tweak had no effect.jimmah.com/vista/Networking/filtertoken.aspxss.

"Jimmy Brush" When I try to connect to the administrative share, I get the logon box. But when I put in my details I get this error:"Logon unsuccessful: Windows is unable to log you on. Be sure that your name and password are correct."I am sure my details are correct and this does not happen after the drive is shared manually.ss.

Ok...You applied the registry tweak to the Vista computer, and ensured everything was spelling correctly/settings correctly?Windows should have logged an event in the security event log recording your attempted access and given more information as to why it wasn't allowed. Can you find those events and post them? JB Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/UserWindows Vista Support Faq jimmah.com/vista/

"Jimmy Brush" That's very strange. When I tried it again I found that the administrative shares now work. Thanks..ss.

Cool :).Perhaps what was needed was for your nonvista computer to restart or have its connection with your Vista computer timeout. JB Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/UserWindows Vista Support Faq jimmah.com/vista/
