How to change MTU size

Posted by admin on Nov 25th, 2006

I need to lower the MTU size to 1300 or so to get a network app to work. I've read almost every post on the subject, but none of the advice works (works in XP, but not Vista). Does anyone know how to change the MTU size in Vista (32bit)?thanks.

"Tech_vs_Life" Have you tried using "DrTCP" found on broadbandreports?broadbandreports.com/toolsBut changing the MTU size on Broadband/Network connected machine may severely impact the performance of the machine. Star Fleet Admiral Q @ your service! "Google is your Friend" google.com

Dr Tcp did not cure me. However, It turns out that another old app, tcpoptimizer.exe, does work. It changed a large number of registry settings but at least it worked (after I allowed it to update the network card settings)."Admiral Q" wrote in message
