That is the new security feature User Account Control. You have 2 choices. In running program, right click and click "Run as Administrator" (Probably the better idea) or turn off th e User Account Control, which defeats the purpose. Haven't you ever seen the ads on television?"Phil" wrote:

Hello,In Windows Vista, even though you are an administrator, programs that do not need administrative power don't receive such power. If a program wants to use administrator power, it must either request it from you, or you must explicitly give it such power by rightclicking it and clicking run as administrator. This gives you the following benefits: No program can run with administrative power without you knowing about it No program can sneakily start a trusted system or administrative program and abuse it without you knowing about it Programs that don't need a lot of power over your computer, don't receive it (such as internet explorer and its new protected mode) JB Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/UserWindows Vista Support Faq jimmah.com/vista/
