Font size is messed up in in-built Windows Games
Posted by admin on Aug 11th, 2006
Hi all the text in the inbuilt Windows Games has decided to eat cake and go massive. I *think* this coincides with the installation of nVidia Forceware (100.65) which also crashes Dreamscene and F.E.A.R. at random intervals. I've run an SFC /SCANNOW but this hasn't had any effect. has anyone else had this problem?

Sometimes i have seen problems if this is not done.before you installed did you turned off your antivirus and antispyware...etc...?Before installing new drivers make sure you uninstall all NVIDIA display drivers. Bigsby Posted via vistaheads.com

The I have similar problem text is jumbled half white half black. I am running an 8800 GTX with 100.65 driver I tried the 101.41 but after numerous crashes went back. I too turned off AV and uninstalled previous version. I wonder if it is a problem in the games rather that the Video Driver. I deselected them in the add remove panel and reselected them but it made no difference. "ionixuk"

Hm funny we're both using nVidia cards / drivers. I reported this against 100.65 to nVidia maybe they'll notice something. When I'm not looking for [Multiple Staffing Breakneck of the Infinite Charm BracerMonkey] I might downgrade to the original and see what happens...."SteveW" wrote:

CONFIRMED!I rolled back to the Microsoft default driver and the problem went away!FYI the driver version is 7.15.10.9746 not sure what that's equiv to in nVidia terms. i'll write to them and let them know."SteveW" wrote:

Thanks for the info I think I can live with it until the next set of drivers which will hopefully sort it especially if you are on their case."ionixuk"

I've got the same issue with my fonts being messed up in Vista Games as well as Vista Media Center. My Video card is an XFX GeForce 7950 GT using driver version 158.18. It fells like it might be an issue with drivers and Direct X 10.0 but I can't nail it down. "binarycrusader@gmail.com" wrote:
