Default Explorer View from Start Button

Posted by admin on Apr 29th, 2007

I know how to change the default view for Windows Explorer using the /root switch when there is a shortcut, however how do you change the default view if you right click over the Start button, and access explorer from there? It still opens up several layers down in an obscure Windows directory. Is there any way to control how that view opens?

Hi Rich,That's because when you right click over the start button you are telling Windows Explorer to open at that point (the programs menu). Best of Luck,Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" Microsoft MVP mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help www.rickrogers.org"Rich"
