bug with HP710C driver for Vista 64 ?

Posted by admin on Jul 2nd, 2006

Vista well recognized my printer and installed the driver good. Some orders operation like the print of the page test. But the printing of a text page written with the Note Pad, for example, does not work. The carriage briefly vibrates but does not move. The driver works well with XP 32bit. Could you help me ?

That is puzzling, all right. The symptoms suggest a hardware problemsomething jamming the carriage assembly, for examplebut the fact that it works with XP 32 bit tends to rule that out.I would try totally removing the present driver and installing the Vista driver fro HP's web site. h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00808543&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=59307&lang=enFor driver removal tips, see members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htmTom MSMVP Windows Shell/User "Touch25"
